Private Peak is a layered Found North blend built from whiskey spanning 10 years to more than 19 years old. And then things get interesting.

The whiskey was shaped through a combination of Bordeaux, Armagnac, new American oak, and Madeira casks, giving the final blend the kind of depth that makes you slow down after the first sip.

The mash bill brings its own weight to the operation: 65% corn, 11% rye, 16% barley, and 8% wheat. But numbers only tell you where the trail begins.

In the glass, Private Peak opens bright and almost deceptively welcoming — floral notes, butterscotch, red apple, and honeysuckle up front.

Then the mood changes.

The middle of the pour grows darker and richer, moving into cinnamon, sandalwood, and chocolate wafer, before settling into a long finish of wood spice, toasted nutmeg, and burnt brown sugar.

At 60.8% ABV, this isn't a quiet whiskey. But it knows when to speak.
